DEXTER, Mo. -- Anna May Guethle, 81, of Dexter died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Cypress Point Health Care in Dexter. She was born May 20, 1922, at Dexter, daughter of Fred Sauer and Philomenia Dietsch Sauer. She and Oscar Joseph Guethle were married Nov. 23, 1949, at Dexter. He died June 22, 1994...

DEXTER, Mo. -- Anna May Guethle, 81, of Dexter died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Cypress Point Health Care in Dexter.

She was born May 20, 1922, at Dexter, daughter of Fred Sauer and Philomenia Dietsch Sauer. She and Oscar Joseph Guethle were married Nov. 23, 1949, at Dexter. He died June 22, 1994.

Guethle had been a bookkeeper at Dexter Automotive. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Mark Guethle of Dexter; three daughters, Donna Simonton of Cape Girardeau, Rosemary Jennemann of Pevely, Mo., Lorretta Morrow of Dexter; four sisters, Benetta Svoboda of Avenel, N.Y., Martha Guethle, Lelia Backfisch and Cecilia Bower, all of Dexter; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. John Sheley officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
