ANN SWALLOWS

BLOOMFIELD -- Ann Swallows, 94, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Aug. 7, 1997, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 12, 1902, in Advance, daughter of James and Ina Dunlap Sims. She married Cecil Swallows, who preceded her in death.

Swallows spent most of her life in the Bloomfield area. She had worked at Buck's Store many years. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge, Order of Eastern Star, and Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Carl Swallows of Puxico; a sister, Beatrice Thayer of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and grandson.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Hank Foster officiating. Burial will be in Tillmon Cemetery near Advance.
