Ann E. Ostroski Rayhill, 92, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, November 30, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born November 23, 1920 in Wathena, Kan. to Edward Jules and Mary Magelene Franzen Boeh. She and Ralph R. Rayhill were married June 19, 2001 at Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Ann was a graduate of Wathena High School. She was a longtime resident of St. Joseph, Mo. and moved to Cape Girardeau in 1978. She was a Girl Scout leader for over 12 years, and raised money for 13 years for the Miracle Network.
She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. She also belonged to the Women Altar Sodality all of her life.
She worked at Swift Packing Co. in St. Joseph for six years, was activity director at Marshalltown Nursing Center in Marshalltown, Iowa for six years and was a greeter at the Cape Girardeau Wal-Mart for 17 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph R. Rayhill of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Deborah Ann Sauer (Darryl) of Cape Girardeau and Cheryl Lynn Westrich of St. Louis; son-in-law, Jack Donaldson of Cape Girardeau; twelve grandchildren, Johnnay Schrieber (Tom), John Donaldson (Nancy), Keely Martin (John), Brandi Donaldson, Chelsea Hubbard (Michael), Nadia Choe (Ulyee), Dereck Sauer, Justin Sauer, Dustan Westrich, Sean Westrich, Landry Westrich and Brianna Westrich; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Regina Donaldson; four brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent De Paul Building Fund.
