Ann Layton

PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Ann L. Layton, 60, of Perryville died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at her home.

She was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Perryville, daughter of William and Lillian Bey Schweiss. She and Marion Layton were married Nov. 9, 1968, in Perryville.

Layton was a sales assistant at Guyot Lumber Co. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and served as an eucharistic minister.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Mary Lee Hoffman of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Leland Schweiss of Holts Summit, Mo., and Stanley Schweiss of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends in the Gathering Space at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be private.
