COOTER, Mo. -- Anita Joyce Parks Ray, 60, of Cooter, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.

She was born Nov. 2, 1945, in Dorena, Mo., daughter of the late Harry A. and Margaret M. Campbell Parks.

Ray lived most of her life in Mississippi County. For the past two years she lived in Cooter. Ray was retired from the Brown Shoe Company in Charleston. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Busby of Anna, Ill., Faydreia Davis of Cooter; a brother, Donnie Parks of Potosi, Mo.; two sisters, Sylvia Carden of East Prairie, Mo., Shirley Neal of Cooter; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters, two infant sisters and her former husband, Ronald B. Ray.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the Shelby chapel with Bro. Vernon Pritchett officiating.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
