Olive Branch, Ill. -- Anita Jo Grace, 52, passed away at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 18, 1961, to Leland and Mary Jo Collins McKee. She and Walter Grace were married Feb. 14, 1981.
She was a member of Alexander Free Will Baptist Church.
Anita was a devoted daughter, mother and wife. She was an outstanding member of the business and education communities. At the time of her death, she was the branch president of the First National Bank in Cairo, Illinois. She was employed by the bank for the past 27 years.
She served on the boards of directors for numerous community organizations, including Olive Branch Area Community Development Corp., Olive Branch Cemetery Association and Dodge Memorial Library. She was a member of the Cairo Rotary Club.
Survivors include her husband, Walt; her mother, Mary Jo Collins McKee of Thebes, Illinois; a daughter, Lesley, of the home; a son, Justin (Jessica) and a granddaughter, Natalie, of Olive Branch; a sister, Rhonda Sue Stokes (Terry Hunt) of Tarpon Springs, Florida; two brothers, Jerry Leland (Georgia) McKee of Thebes and Michael Lee McKee of Schenectady, New York; a sister-in-law, Dr. Linda Grace of Queensberry, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.
Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery, with the Rev. Earnest Brown officiating.
A dinner will follow the graveside service at Alexander Freewill Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Olive Branch Cemetery Association.
