CHAFFEE, Mo. — Anita Bertha Gosnell, 93, of Chaffee died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 18, 1915, at Kelso, Mo., daughter of Anton and Mary Petz Hess. She and Odus Gosnell were married Oct. 5, 1931. He died Dec. 28, 1983.
Gosnell was a member of First United Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3127, both in Chaffee.
Survivors include a daughter, Anna Clary of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Frances Hess of Scott City; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, two sisters, a granddaughter, a great-grandchild and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Frank Husted officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
