BERTRAND -- Angela R. Kean, 85, of Bertrand, died Monday, May 16, 1994, at Bertrand Retirement Facility.

She was born April 15, 1909, in Charleston, daughter of Michael H. and Mary E. Carlisle Halter. She and James A. Kean were married Nov. 14, 1939. He died July 12, 1985.

Kean was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church at Charleston.

Survivors include four brothers, Ivo Halter of Cape Girardeau, Charles Halter of San Pedro, Calif., Martin and Norbert Halter of Charleston; four sisters, Louise Harlan of Maryland Heights, Marcella Garstka of North Little Rock, Ark., Cecilia Thompson of Florissant, and Mary Stricker of Charleston.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5:30 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry's Church, with the Rev. James Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
