Andrew Kerth Shores Jr., 86, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
He was born Nov. 15, 1914, at Clayton, Mo., son of Andrew K. and Ida Theckle Smallenbuch Shores Sr. He and Helen May Snider were married Sept. 7, 1940, in St. Louis.
Shores was an engineer with Union Electric more than 40 years. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and former member of the Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Andy Shores of Germantown, Tenn.; two daughters, Nancy Buck of Weston, Conn., Mary McGrievey of St. Charles, Ill.; a brother, Arthur Shores of O'Fallon, Mo.; two sisters, Virginia Hillman of St. Louis, Adell Sommerkamp of Warrensburg, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel after noon Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. James Caughlan officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
