ANDREW SHEMWELL

LILBOURN -- Andrew Shemwell, 91, formerly of Lilbourn, died Monday, June 10, 1996, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

He was born July 22, 1904, in Middle, Tenn., son of Thomas and Ida Williams Shemwell. He and Cinda L. Raines were married Feb. 19, 1927. She died Nov. 28, 1994.

Shemwell had farmed, and was a member of First United Pentecost Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include three daughters, Madge Strickland of Essex, Vera McDaniel of Parma, Ruth Middleton of Sikeston; a sister, Grace DeBaun of Watonga, Okla.; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Pentecost Church, with the Rev. Gaylon Butler officiating. Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn.
