EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Anderson Moore, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born June 25, 1918, in Hornsby, Tenn., son of James Walter and Callie Wilson Moore. He and Garnita Maxine Smith were married Jan. 26, 1943.
Moore lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Geneva Givens; two sons, Charles and Lester Moore; a brother, Albert Moore, all of East Prairie; three sisters, Ressie Hendrix of East Prairie, Mamie Hendrix of Morley, Mo., Mattie Williams of the state of Illinois; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister, a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.
Funeral for Anderson Moore of East Prairie will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. David Dowdy will officiate. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
