GRASSY, Mo. -- Amelia Harris Fisher, 17, of Grassy died April 5, 2013, on Highway 34 in Jackson from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Feb. 28, 1996, in Cape Girardeau to Christian and Amy Sides Fisher.

Amelia was a junior at Woodland High School, where she was a member of the pep club. She was a member of Centenary Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Amy (Todd) Buffington of Grassy; her father, Christian Fisher of Scott City; two brothers, Todd Buffington of Grassy and Payton Buffington of Columbia Falls, Mont.; a sister, Paige Buffington of Columbia Falls; maternal grandmother, Mary Kay Sides of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandfather, Wayne Buffington of Piedmont, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Carol Sutton of Piedmont; paternal grandparents, Mark (Leah) Fisher of Scott City; paternal grandmother, Vicki Moore of Scott City; paternal great-grandmother, Patricia Kelsey of Scott City; and paternal great-great-grandmother, Juanita Carlton of Scott City.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in Scott City.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Kevin Ropp officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
