MARBLE HILL -- Ambrose Douglas Peters, 26, of Marble Hill died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at St. Louis University Hospital.
He was born on May 4, 1973, at Cape Girardeau, the son of Ambrose W. and Patricia Welter Peters.
He was lumberyard foreman at Buchheit in Perryville.
He graduated in 1991 from Leopold High School. He attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years with an emphasis in criminal justice. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5898 and St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold. He was a member of softball leagues in Cape Girardeau, Perryville and Leopold. He was a past member of the Kelso Jaycees.
Survivors include his parents of Marble Hill; his grandmother, Lillie Welter of Benton; two brothers, Chris Peters of Scott City and Tim Peters of Marble Hill; and four sisters, Cynthia Jansen of Leopold, Jean Clubb of Marble Hill, Donna Kasten of Tilsit and Valeria Peters of Imperial.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church. Parish prayers and rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Bill Huggins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
