Amanda Thatch
PARMA, Mo. -- Amanda Thatch, 90, of Parma died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Golden Living Center in New Madrid, Mo.
She was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Mississippi, daughter of Melvin and Georgia Sain Walker. She married Ezell Thatch.
Thatch was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, served on the Mother's Board, sang in the senior choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of other organizations and gospel groups.
Survivors include a son, Louis Thatch of Savoy, Ill.; four daughters, Faye Wells of New Madrid, Barbara Robinson of Denton, Texas, Mary Thatch of Cape Girardeau, Dianna Tillman of Parma; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time today at Parma Community Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the center, with the Rev. Floyd Wade officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery at Malden, Mo.
Williams Funeral Home in Howardville, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
