Alvina Lally
Alvina Helen Lally, 100, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1909, in New Hamburg, Mo., daughter of Charles and Helen Ann Leible Burger.
Alvina moved to St. Louis and worked for Singer Sewing Machine Co. for 23 years. She retired in 1971 and moved to Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include two sisters, Viola Westrich and Bernice Kagle of Cape Girardeau, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Louise Lally.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers and rosary will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will beat 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
