JACKSON -- Alvin A. Dickman, 101, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1996, at DeSoto Residential Care Nursing Center.
He was born June 24, 1894, in Cape Girardeau County, son of August and Cora Sachse Dickman.
Dickman attended Jackson High school and Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked for Missouri State Grain Department in St. Louis from 1928-32, and then returned to work on the family farm near Jackson.
Survivors include five nieces, Mildred Wibbenmeyer of St. Louis, Rebekah Steffens of St. Charles, Tokey Johnson of DeSoto, Mary Lewis of Littleton, Colo., Gretchen Ray of Corpus Christi, Texas; two nephews, Charles Dickman of Ellisville and Wade Roop of DeSoto.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
