Alvena Lillian Lett, 81, of Scott City died Sunday June 14, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 23, 1927, to Charles and Louisa Schoen Georger. She and Donald Lett were married Jan. 31, 1948, in Cape Girardeau.
Alvena had worked in food service at Saint Francis. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Paul (Cheryl) Lett of Cincinnati, Kenneth (Dorothy) Lett of Scott City, Stanley (Darlene) Lett of St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Sister Elaine Georger of Wheaton, Ill., Marina Georger of Chaffee, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
