CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Alva Rea Boyts, 76, of Chaffee died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at her home.
She was born Sept. 30, 1926, at Ponder, Mo., daughter of Mark Layfatte and Ola Velma Corlee Holland. She and Stirling Harbin Boyts were married Oct. 13, 1948.
Mrs. Boyts was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janet Loucks of Chaffee, Tamara Hindman of Advance, Mo.; four brothers, Samuel Holland of Gresham, Ore., Lloyd Holland and James Holland of Biloxi, Miss., Mark Holland of Glen Burnie, Md.; two sisters, Velma Free of Poway, Calif., Lavetta Holland of Biloxi; and two grandchildren, Jillian L. Carilli of Whidbey Island, Wash., and John S. Loucks of Savannah, Ga.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel after 6 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
