ALTA DARLENE YOUNG

Funeral service for Alta Darlene Young of Arnold will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Bruce Owens will officiate, with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Young, 55, died Sunday, March 29, 1992, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis County.

She was born March 6, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Harold and Dorothy Watson McBride. She married Jim Young July 1, 1972, in Cape Girardeau.

Young was a 1955 graduate of Central High School, and had worked at Lambert's Fabrics, and Ward Food Mart in Cape Girardeau and Jackson. The Youngs moved to Arnold in March 1987, and she had worked at K-Mart since that time. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary here.

Survivors incldue her husband; a daughter, Julie Kamp of Cape Girardeau; her mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Don McBride of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Glenda Franck of Wentzville, and four granddaughters.
