CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral for Alma Walker of Cairo will be held at 11 a.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden, Ill. The Rev. Sam Bowles will officiate. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of service.
Walker, 81, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 27, 1921, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Robert and Diana Wilson Cook. She and Franklin R. Walker were married March 4, 1940, in Jackson, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Raymond Walker of Carterville, Ill.; five daughters, Elizabeth Seals of Charleston, Mo., Stella Farmer of Johnston City, Ill., Mary Daniels of Urbandale, Ill., Victoria Walker of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and Roberta Dellingner of Carterville.
Also surviving are three brothers, Clarence, Robert and Richard Cook, all of Centralia, Ill.; two sisters, Naomi Walker of Georgia, Geneva Marshall of Centralia; 36 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
