UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Alma L. Schilling, 87, of Uniontown passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. She was born March 14, 1926, in Uniontown, daughter of William H. and Bertha M. Kassel Kasten. She married Raymond W. Schilling on Sept. 21, 1946. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 2003...

UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Alma L. Schilling, 87, of Uniontown passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born March 14, 1926, in Uniontown, daughter of William H. and Bertha M. Kassel Kasten.

She married Raymond W. Schilling on Sept. 21, 1946. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 2003.

Mrs. Schilling was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and its church choir in Uniontown and American Legion Auxiliary. She loved bowling and quilting.

Survivors include two sons and four daughters, Sandra (Dennis) Lohmann of Perryville, Mo., Sharon Rothermich of Horn Lake, Miss., Wallace (Suzette) Schilling and Diann (Don) Mueller, all of Perryville, Kevin (Jennifer) Schilling of Nesbit, Miss., and Pamela (Joe) Pingel of Perryville; a brother and a sister, Lucille (Gilbert) Roth of Steelville, Ill., and Arlen (Mary Ann) Kasten of Potter, Neb.; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Kasten of Potter and Lillian Kasten of Perryville; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leonard and Harold.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Organ Fund, Saxony Lutheran High School or a charity of choice.
