SCOTT CITY -- Alma Ann Sandvos, 79, Scott City Route 2, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 9, 1919, at Illmo, daughter of Lawrence L. and Amelia Etter Mirgaux. She and Hugo Ernest "Shine" Sandvos were married Nov. 14, 1936, at Illmo.

Sandvos was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dick Sandvos of Sikeston, David Sandvos of Scott City; a daughter, Amelia Sandvos of Scott City; a brother, John Mirgaux of Cahokia, Ill.; two sisters, Alvina Sandvos and Evelyn Braun of Scott City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at St. Joseph Church after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
