ADVANCE, Mo. -- Alma Loar Mashek, 83, of Advance died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 18, 1921, in Advance, daughter of Jacob and Loar Jenkins Tropf. She and Raymond "Bud" Mashek were married June 15, 1947, at Marquand, Mo. He died Aug. 31, 2003.
Mashek worked at the Bank of Advance 40 years, retiring as head teller. She was a member of Advance United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Michael Mashek of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Carla Hendrix of Advance; a sister, Helen Musgraves of Advance; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Advance United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Virgil Bunch and Mike Eighmy officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
