Alma Louise Edwards, 78, 1122 S. Ranney, died Saturday, March 25, 1995, at Heartland Care Center.
She was born April 28, 1916, in Greenbrier, daughter of Scott and Janie Cato Davis. She first married James Louis Penny, who preceded her in death. She later married Henry Edwards in Cape Girardeau, who also preceded her in death.
Edwards was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Steve Edwards of Cape Girardeau, Robert Edwards of St. Louis, Joe and William Penny of Chicago; three sisters, Mary Squires, Rose Martin and Catherine Edwards, all of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Marie Davis of Lutesville; 20 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Howard McGee Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
