DONGOLA, Ill. -- Alma Houston, 93, of Dongola died Thursday, March 9, 2000, at her home.
She was born Oct. 1, 1906, at Dongola, daughter of Emery and Ivo McCommons Casper.
Houston was retired from Dongola School, where she was a cook. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dongola.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Houston and Larry Houston, both of Dongola; two daughters, Jo Hill of Jonesboro and Rita Dillow of Dongola; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5 to 8 p.m. today and on Sunday until time of service.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Paul Sadler will officiate, with burial in American Legion Cemetery.
