ALMA GREBE

JACKSON -- Alma B. Grebe, 95, of Jackson died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 13, 1903, in Gordonville, the daughter of Albert and Bertha Lange Schwab.

She married Albert Grebe on July 21, 1928, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1986.

She worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone from 1923 to 1928 and worked on the family farm with her husband for many years. They moved to Jackson in 1968.

She is survived by a son, Milton Grebe of Jackson; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
