Alma E. Ludwig, 92, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 9, 1899, at Longtown, daughter of Charles F. and Louisa Bergmann Rauh. She married Arthur William Ludwig Nov. 27, 1919. He died Jan. 13, 1962.
Ludwig was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel and Ladies Guild, and past delegate to Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was past president of Ladies Junior Aid, active in Parent-Teacher Circle, and taught Sunday School many years.
Ludwig was active in American Legion Auxiliary, and had served as president. She had worked at Hargens Home Laundry, in the alterations department at Samuel's Dress Shop, and had been a cook at Marquette Hotel and Merchants Grill.
She had been a member of West End Boulevard Pinochle Card Club more than 40 years.
Survivors include a sister, Esther Macke of Pocahontas; eight grandchildren, David Moore, John and Mike Reynolds of Cape Girardeau, Steven Moore of Oldsmar, Fla., Tim Ludwig of Sikeston, Karen Tiehes and Tom Ludwig of Jackson, Janie Clark of St. Louis, and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, six brothers, three sisters, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Chapel. The Rev. William Matzat will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
