SIKESTON -- Allien B. Waller, 80, of Sikeston, died Monday, May 2, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Nov. 9, 1913, near Wyatt, daughter of Guy D. and Mary Hutcheson Beck. She and Henry V. Alderson were married Jan. 12, 1934. He died Jan. 24, 1979. She later married Pierson B. Waller Sept. 20, 1980. He died Oct. 14, 1983...

SIKESTON -- Allien B. Waller, 80, of Sikeston, died Monday, May 2, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 9, 1913, near Wyatt, daughter of Guy D. and Mary Hutcheson Beck. She and Henry V. Alderson were married Jan. 12, 1934. He died Jan. 24, 1979. She later married Pierson B. Waller Sept. 20, 1980. He died Oct. 14, 1983.

Waller attended Southeast Missouri State University and Arkansas State University. She taught school for a time and was active in organizing 4-H and extension clubs.

She had been assistant home management supervisor with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in New Madrid and Mississippi counties. She was commissioned postmaster at Wyatt by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and retired in January 1973.

Waller was a member of National Association of Postmasters of the U.S., having served as president and secretary-treasurer of her Congressional District. She was an associate member of the national association at the time of her death.

She was also a member of Mississippi County Historical Society, First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, and charter member and past president of Bootheel Chapter 1275 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include a brother, Cleo Beck of Ellington.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today, and after 11 a.m. Thursday at Wyatt United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wyatt church, with the Revs. Charles Buck and Harold Norton officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
