Allene Glueck

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Allene Emma Brucker Glueck, 91, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 5, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, to John William and Josephine Philomene Kirchdoerfer Brucker. She married Edward Killian Glueck on Jan. 16, 1945. He preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1991.

Allene was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and Daughters of St. Ambrose. She was a farm wife the majority of her life, and also was a lacer at Chaffee Shoe Factory.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie (David) Hutson of Jackson and Donna (David) Loop of Fruitland; a grandson, Duston Hutson of Jackson; and extended family of nieces and nephews who thought of her as mom and grandma.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Brucker; and four sisters, Dena Schabbing, Marie Mabrey, Amelia Slinkard and Stella Glueck.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at St. Ambrose Catholic School in Chaffee and from 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at St. Ambrose Church. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. today at the school.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
