PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Allen E. Winkler, 66, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born April 3, 1948, at Perryville to Leo and Beulah Schnurbusch Winkler.
He married Millie T. Tarrillion on April 22, 1967, at Highland, Missouri. She survives in Perryville.
Allen was a heavy-equipment operator for Tower Rock Stone. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. He was a third-degree Knight of Columbus, a member of the Perryville Elks Lodge, Riverhills Eagles and an American Legion Booster.
Survivors include his wife; four brothers, Gerald Winkler of Chesterfield, Missouri, Richard Winkler of Zeeland, Michigan, Stanley Winkler of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, and Mark Winkler of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Knights of Columbus will be at 7 p.m., and there will be an Elks service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 10:50 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
