FROHNA, Mo. -- Allen Whitehead, 59, of Frohna died Friday, May 18, 2007 at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1948 in East St. Louis, Ill., son of Joseph and Nadell Adams Whitehead. FROHNA, Mo. -- Allen Whitehead, 59, of Frohna died Friday, May 18, 2007 at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 16, 1948 in East St. Louis, Ill., son of Joseph and Nadell Adams Whitehead.

Whitehead was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and past member of the American Legion, VFW and AmVets. He worked as an electrical engineer.

Survivors include two brothers, Brady Williams of Perry County, Mo., Amond Williams of Frohna; four sisters, Alice Wright of Mulberry Grove, Ill., Joanna Johnson and Jeanette McDonald, both of Centreville, Ill., and Marion Franklin of East St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo. He will then be taken to Nash Funeral Home in East St. Louis for visitation Thursday morning.

Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery on Thursday.
