ALLEN PEELER

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Allen Peeler, 73, of Dongola, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1993 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 24, 1919, in Pulaski County, son of William and Ollie Miller Peeler.

He married Margaret Fisher on Nov. 21, 1945. She survives.

Peeler was a member of First Lutheran Church in Dongola, a member of the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post #3455 and a member of Operating Engineers Local #318.

Survivors include sons, Johnny Peeler of Dongola, Jackie Ray Peeler of Raleigh, N.C., and Mike Peeler of Dongola; two brothers, Oris Peeler of Verona, N.J., and Onis Peeler of Lake Hiawatha, N.J.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded death by six sisters and two brothers.

Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with the Rev. William Horn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, with military honors by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post.
