THEBES, Ill. — Allen D. Leimbach, 82 of Thebes passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. THEBES, Ill. — Allen D. Leimbach, 82 of Thebes passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 14, 1939, in Cape Girardeau to the late Albert and Amanda Stueve Leimbach. Allen and Elaine Burlbaugh were married July 14, 1973, in Chester, Illinois. She preceded him in death June 15, 2019.

He worked as a line technician and services operator for Proctor & Gamble for 26 years.

Loving survivors include sons, Bradley Leimbach of Thebes and Douglas (Trisha) Leimbach of Oran, Missouri; daughters, Kathryn (Lester) of Farmington, Missouri, and Gena (Terry) Paschall of Paducah, Kentucky; sister, Flora E. Oberndorfer of Altenburg, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Shelby (Austin) Smith, Amanda Schaefer, Christian Leimbach, Coley Leimbach, Kassidy Leimbach, Jessi Wilfong and Dalton Leimbach; and two great-grandchildren, Jude and Margaret Smith.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elaine; a son, Jeffrey Leimbach; one brother; and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Burns officiating.
