Allen Kidd

Allen H. Kidd, 65, of Whitewater died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 27, 1937, at Randles, Mo., son of Claude E. and Jewell Hitt Kidd. He and Karron Ellis were married Aug. 26, 1957.

Kidd was a self-employed farmer, and was a truck driver with Brenda Kay Construction.

He was a charter member of Advance Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4154 in Advance, Mo. He was a past president of Advance School Board and past board member of Southeast Cooperative Service Co. in Advance.

Kidd served in the Missouri National Guard.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Keith Kidd of Advance; three daughters, Kelly Abernathy and Kathy Mace of Advance, Karla Dowd of Hartsburg, Mo.; a brother, Frank Miller of Jackson, Miss.; three sisters, Gladys Davis of Jackson, Mo., Jane Eaves of Jackson, Tenn., Anne Markham of Bridgeton, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and two half brothers.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo., after 4 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Zych officiating. Burial will be in Hitt Cemetery near Arbor, Mo.
