Allen's family wishes he had had more time with them, but Allen was truly a happy man when he passed. He had just returned from his dream vacation to Egypt, and his son and family had recently moved to Tennessee and lived nearby. Allen had lots of plans for the future, but God had another plan. Allen was a man of faith. He loved Jesus and was a serious student of God's Word.

Go, rest high on that Mountain and play music with your dad that you missed so much. Maybe sit in on a jam session with Bill Monroe.

A memorial service was held at Bethlehem General Baptist Church. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
