Aline A. Grojean, 83, of Lakewood Ranch, Fla., died in Christ Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in the home of her son in Leawood, Kan.
She was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Jackson, daughter of Elbert and Caroline Zimmer McFerron. She and Meyer Grojean were married April 28, 1946, in Jackson.
They moved from St. Louis to Overland Park, Kan., in 1962. She retired from Principal Financial Services in 1987. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and served on numerous circles and committees.
The Grojeans moved to Sarasota, Fla., in 1988, where she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Renee Grojean of Leawood; an aunt, Georgia Meyer of Cape Girardeau; five cousins, Minnie Diefenbach, Virginia Meyr and Carolyn Myer of Jackson, Stella Mae Strack of Cape Girardeau and Joyce Reeder of St. Louis.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. The Rev. Ed Trost of Bethany Lutheran Church in Overland Park will officiate.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
