Alida W. Goodpasture, 95, of Jackson died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 8, 1922, in New Wells to Wilhelm Joseph and Eleanor A. Perr Hoffman. She and Erie M. Goodpasture were married Feb. 24, 1941, in Jackson. He passed away Dec. 25, 1996...

Alida W. Goodpasture, 95, of Jackson died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 8, 1922, in New Wells to Wilhelm Joseph and Eleanor A. Perr Hoffman.

She and Erie M. Goodpasture were married Feb. 24, 1941, in Jackson. He passed away Dec. 25, 1996.

Alida was employed by Southeast Hospital for 19 1/2 years.

She was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and the Ladies Aide.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Michael) Parr of Arnold, Missouri, and Carol Finney of West Frankfort , Illinois; two sons, Charles (Patsy) Goodpasture of Jackson and James (Cindy) Goodpasture of New Wells; a brother, Milton (Fern) Hoffman of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Gladys Hoffman of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, brother, sister and grandson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau and again from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at Hanover Lutheran Church.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Tony Kobak officiating.

Burial will be at Hanover Lutheran Church Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hanover Lutheran Church, 2949 Perryville Road, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
