MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Private graveside service for Alice E. Sheerer of Tempe, Ariz., will be held today in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds. The Rev. Arnold Hoffman will officiate.

Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City is in charge of arrangements. The body was cremated.

Sheerer, 95, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1996, in Tempe.

She was born in Mound City, daughter of John and Adela Kirk Tucker.

Sheerer was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Mound City.

Survivors include a daughter, Adela Flint of Tempe; and four grandchildren.
