Alice Lucille Sanders, 82, of Chaffee, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was a resident at Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 21, 1925, in Parma, Mo., daughter of Charles H. and Ruth Ann Ross Nordin. She and John Franklin Sanders were married Dec. 8, 1940, in Parma.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and also attended the House of Prayer in Chaffee.
She had worked as an inspector for Florsheim Shoe Co. and was a CNA at Chaffee General Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, John Sanders of Chaffee; daughter Margie (Leon) Stricklin of Chaffee; son Jerry (Dorothy) Sanders of Scopus, Mo.; daughter Fay (Johny) Lee of Advance, Mo.; daughter Kay (Mike) Scheper of Scott City; daughter Peggy (Terry) Lee of Chaffee, and son Richard (Judy) Sanders of Oak Ridge.
She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty (Bob) Bailey; brother and sister-in-law, Jack (Betty) Nordin of Chaffee, and a sister, Charlene Lacy of Palms, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, a great-grandson and two brothers.
Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
