ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Alice M. Groner of Anna will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Bill Stout will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Saturday.

Groner, 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1997, at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion.

She was born Jan. 6, 1914, in Decatur, daughter of Claude and Mary Tweedy Dugan. She and Paul F. Groner were married May 25, 1935, in Dongola. He died Feb. 10, 1988.

Groner was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula Rothschild of Marion; a son, Jim Groner of Marion; two sisters, Mary Swartz of Downing, Calif., Helen Davis of Oxnard, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.
