ALAMO, Texas -- Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Cooper, 73, of Alamo, formerly of Scott City, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, gained her angel wings in the early morning of Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at her home in Alamo.

She was born Nov. 4, 1939, in Washburn, Maine, to Harry Wendel and Myrna Margaret Stevens Libby.

She was preceded in death by both parents and a sister.

She is survived by her husband, Norman D. Cooper of Alamo; two sons, Normie Farver of Alamo and Dwain Cooper of Farmington, Mo.; two daughters, Myrna Collier of Scott City and Shelby Cooper and her son, Prince Roll Tide Toby of Pensacola, Fla.; and two four-legged children, Peanut and Missy; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.

Memorial contributions may be given to your local hospice in memory of Alice Cooper.
