KARNAK, Ill. -- Alice Basham, 70, of Karnak died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998, at Southgate Health Care in Metropolis.
She was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Metropolis, daughter of Charles and Myrtle Downey Stone. She married Aaron Basham.
Basham had been a nurse aide in area hospitals and nursing homes. She was a member of Karnak Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Dawne Collins of Calvert City, Ky.; two sisters, Mary Johnston of Hampton, Jenney Lang of Metropolis; a brother, Jesse Triplett of Metropolis; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Shawn Wasson and Jeff Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery at Boaz.
