Ali Marie Brakhane, 46, of Jackson passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Jan. 24, 1972, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Mark and Melody Cornwell Klink. Ali and Brad Brakhane were married April 22, 1995, in Bloomington, Illinois.

She grew up in Vermilion Grove, Illinois, and graduated from Illinois State University.

After graduation, she began her teaching career in Greenfield, Illinois, where she taught for four years. She came to Orchard Elementary in 2007 as a kindergarten teacher, moving to second grade in 2017.

Ali loved music and gardening. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach and North Woods. She was committed to both her own family and school families. She was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church.

Loving survivors include her husband, Brad Brakhane, two daughters, Molly Ann and Libby Marie Brakhane, and a son, Mark Edwin Brakhane, all of Jackson; parents, Mark and Melody Klink of Iron River, Michigan; a brother, Jacob (Brandi) Klink of Bloomington; and nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Tony Kobak officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to the Brad Brakhane Scholarship Fund for Mark, Molly and Libby, care of The Bank of Missouri, 233 W. Jackson Blvd., Jackson, MO 63755.
