DAISY -- Alfred R. Crites, 76, of Daisy, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1993, at Cape LaCroix Manor in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 29, 1917, at Farmington, son of Ira A. and Esther R. Seabaugh Crites. He and Retta Sebaugh were married Oct. 12, 1940.
Crites lived on the family farm west of Daisy 46 years. He was a bus driver with Oak Ridge Schools 19 years. He was a member of Sargent's Chapel Lutheran Church, American Legion and VFW Posts in Jackson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry Crites of Jackson, Dale Crites, Jackson Route 1, Gale Crites, Jackson Route 2; a daughter, Carolyn Ludwig, Jackson Route 1; a sister, Ellen Conrad of Jackson; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Mary Waudby will officiate, with burial in Sargent's Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today. An American Legion honor guard service will be held at 7:30.
