SIKESTON -- Alfred "Doodle" Pearson, 80, died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews. He was born Oct. 24, 1918, in Hagarville, Ark., son of Arch and Sharlie Ava Morrow Pearson. He and Irene Ferguson were married June 24, 1939. She died March 16, 1987...

SIKESTON -- Alfred "Doodle" Pearson, 80, died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

He was born Oct. 24, 1918, in Hagarville, Ark., son of Arch and Sharlie Ava Morrow Pearson. He and Irene Ferguson were married June 24, 1939. She died March 16, 1987.

Pearson had worked at Sikeston Municipal Airport, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Calvary Temple.

Survivors include a daughter, Ava Allen of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Weaver Pearson of Penn Valley, Calif; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
