ALFRED N. ACUFF

DEXTER -- Alfred N. Acuff, 57, of Circle City died at his home Friday, July 17, 1998.

He was born Oct. 13, 1940, at Paragould, Ark., son of Alfred Wilson Acuff and Edith Byrd Acuff.

He married Gloria Jean Overturf at Rock Island, Ill., Nov. 16, 1965.

He was retired from J.I. Case Tractor Co. He attended Olive Branch General Baptist Church near Essex. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors included his wife, Gloria Acuff of Circle City; a son, Dana Andrew Acuff of Coal Valley, Ill.; a daughter, Dawn Rene Acuff of Coal Valley; his mother, Edith Byrd King of Essex; a sister, Myrna Jones of Paragould; and three grandchildren.

There will be no funeral. A memorial service will be held later. Watkins & Sons Funeral Services of Dexter is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Coal Valley.
