JACKSON -- Alfred H. Limbaugh, 80, of Jackson died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 3, 1918, near Sedgewickville, son of Roscoe and Josie Miller Limbaugh. He and Frances Leota Booker were married Sept. 30, 1939, at Doniphan.
Limbaugh graduated from Jackson High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He taught school at Burfordville and Stroder Branch.
He farmed between Burfordville and Millersville for many years and was a district manager for the PAG/Cargill Seed Corn Co. from 1959 to 1978.
He was the former president of the local Farm Bureau and was manager of the local Farm Bureau co-op.
He was a charter member of the Cape Girardeau County Planning and Zoning Commission and a former Jackson municipal judge.
He was a member of the Kimbeland Golf Club, the Jackson Evening Optimist and the First Baptist Church of Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dr. Charles "Chad" Limbaugh of Winchester, Tenn.; a daughter, Jo Frances "Jody" Nelson of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Loya Nell Hughes of Villa Park, Ill., Helen Gillespie of Kirkwood and Anne Padavic of Aurora, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Dr. Brian Anderson will officiate, with burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
