FARRAR -- Alfred Edwin Koenig, 90, of Farrar died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at the home of a daughter in Frankfort, Ky. He was born May 30, 1909, at Farrar, son of Ernst and Magdelena Roth Koenig. He and Augusta Martha Popp were married April 12, 1936. She died March 13, 1998...

FARRAR -- Alfred Edwin Koenig, 90, of Farrar died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at the home of a daughter in Frankfort, Ky.

He was born May 30, 1909, at Farrar, son of Ernst and Magdelena Roth Koenig. He and Augusta Martha Popp were married April 12, 1936. She died March 13, 1998.

Koenig was a retired farmer. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and its Men's Club.

Survivors include a son, Paul Koenig of Farrar; a daughter, Luella Franke of Frankfort; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and five sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Church. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
