HAWK POINT, Mo. -- Alfred Brockmeyer, 88, of Hawk Point passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, the child of Frank and Mary (Eeftink) Brockmeyer.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Brockmeyer of Hawk Point; four daughters, Sharon (Richmond) Mueller of Old Monroe, Missouri, Jeanette (Butch) Menne of Silex, Missouri, Jane (Doyle) Oehl of Jackson and Barb (Brian) Wehde of Winfield, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Bert (Paul) Essner of Benton, Missouri, Frieda Seyer of Cape Girardeau, Julie (Don) James of Cape Girardeau, Dot (Paul) Summers of Cape Girardeau, Theresa (Joe) Schreckbenberg of Hillsboro, Missouri, Francis (Joe) Willenbring of Jackson and Millie (Charlie) Seyer of Jackson.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Timothy; and a sister, Sister Rose Frances Brockmeyer.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes and Crematory, Hawk Point Chapel. A visitation also will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Hawk Point.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawk Point, with the Rev. Jeffrey Maassen to officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery on Route D in Hawk Point.
Memorial contributions may be made to Masses or to St. Mary's Cemetery, care of the funeral home.
