Alfred B. Schwab, 86, 306 Louis, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1993, at his home.
He was born Dec. 24, 1906, at Dutchtown, son of John and Minna Beathe Schwab. He and Anna Ford were married Feb. 3, 1947, in Cape Girardeau.
Schwab was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Men's Club, VFW, and Carpenters Local. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jacque Aden of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., Nancy Downs of Cape Girardeau, Sandy White of Longwood, Fla.; three sisters, Minnie Tindall of Jackson, Juanita Schwab of Cape Girardeau, Hannah Cowger of Florissant, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Steven MacDougall officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
